A two-year-old girl has died after she was trapped inside a house during a fire at Cantonments in Accra, near Susanna Lodge.
The fire broke out earlier this afternoon while the child was inside the premises.
Despite efforts to respond to the incident, the young girl was unable to escape and died in the fire.
Her remains have since been handed over to the Cantonments Police for the necessary procedures.
The Ghana National Fire Service is expected to provide further information on the incident, including the cause of the fire and details of the emergency response.
