TDC boss Nunekpeku denies claims of intention to contest Tema Central in 2028

The Managing Director of TDC Ghana Ltd., Courage Makafui Nunekpeku, has refuted claims suggesting his intention to run for the Tema Central parliamentary seat during the 2028 general election.

Mr Nunekpeku stated that he holds no aspirations to pursue parliamentary representation in Tema Central or any other constituency and called upon the public to dismiss such conjecture.

“I wish to state unequivocally and for the public record that, as the Managing Director of TDC Ghana Ltd., I have no interest in contesting for the parliamentary seat of Tema Central in 2028 or beyond,” he said.

Mr Nunekpeku emphasised that his current objective is to fulfill the responsibilities assigned to him as Managing Director of TDC Ghana Ltd. and participate in advancing the government’s developmental initiatives.

“My sole focus remains delivering on the mandate given to me by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama to champion the Better Ghana Agenda and help reset the Ghana we all want,” Mr Nunekpeku said.

Previously, he participated in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary competition for the Tema Central Constituency in 2023.

His present remarks aim to address ongoing speculation regarding his potential pursuit of the NDC parliamentary nomination for this constituency in preparation for the 2028 electoral cycle.

Mr Nunekpeku reiterated that his concentration remains steadfastly directed toward his duties at TDC Ghana Ltd. and supporting national advancement consistent with the government’s strategic objectives.
