Three Ghanaian football officials have earned appointments for the 2026 WAFU Zone B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifying tournament currently taking place in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
Rejoice Addokwei has been selected as a centre referee for the competition, while Patricia Kyeraa will serve as an assistant referee. Their appointments underline the growing recognition of Ghanaian female officials in regional and international football.
Aglago Grace Emmanuella is the third Ghanaian official at the tournament. She has been appointed as a technical instructor and referee assessor, giving her responsibility beyond match officiating.
Her role will involve supporting the development of referees and assessing their performances throughout the competition.
The tournament, which runs from August 23 to September 5, has brought together leading women’s clubs from the WAFU Zone B region, with participating teams competing for a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Ghana is represented in the competition by Ampem Darkoa Ladies, the reigning Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League champions. The Nana Mma earned the opportunity after defeating Hasaacas Ladies in the domestic league final.
Patricia Kyeraa, in particular, has previously officiated at WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers and has also worked in FIFA youth competitions.
Rejoice Addokwei is also listed among Ghana’s international referees, reflecting her recognition by CAF.
The tournament will continue until September 5 and the three officials will hope to perform strongly and further strengthen Ghana’s reputation in football officiating across Africa.
