The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects following an alleged attempt to steal about 30 goats at Sekyedumase.
The two suspects were reportedly intercepted after a hot pursuit by the police while allegedly transporting the animals in a Toyota Voxy vehicle.
According to the information available, the suspects are believed to have taken the goats and hidden them somewhere before loading them into a vehicle in an attempt to transport them out of the area.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged theft, including where the goats were taken from and how the suspects were identified, have not yet been fully disclosed.
The police reportedly became aware of the incident and pursued the vehicle carrying the animals. The chase eventually ended with the arrest of the two suspects.
The goats have reportedly been recovered and are expected to be identified by their owners as investigations continue.
The two suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to assist investigators in establishing the circumstances surrounding the alleged theft and determining whether other individuals were involved.
