Ghana international Kwasi Sibo says he is carefully considering the next step in his career after leaving Spanish side Real Oviedo, with offers from clubs in England, Germany and Saudi Arabia currently on the table.
The Black Stars midfielder revealed that his contract with Real Oviedo expired shortly before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making him a free agent ahead of the summer transfer window.
Since then, interest in the 28-year-old has grown, with several clubs competing for his signature.
Speaking about his future, Sibo admitted that his family would like him to continue his career in the Saudi Pro League, where several African and European stars have moved in recent years.
“My family wants me to move to the Saudi Pro League. My contract with Real Oviedo expired before the World Cup. I am now considering my options. I have received offers from clubs in England, Germany and Saudi Arabia, although my family is keen for me to move to Saudi Arabia,” he said.
Sibo joined Real Oviedo in 2024 on a two-year contract after impressing at SD Amorebieta. During his time with the Spanish club, he established himself as one of the team’s key midfielders, earning praise for his work rate, ball-winning ability and composure in possession.
His performances at club level also earned him a place in the Ghana national team, and he featured for the Black Stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The midfielder impressed with his disciplined displays in midfield, particularly in Ghana’s matches against Panama and England, further boosting his reputation and attracting interest from clubs across Europe and the Middle East.
While his family favours a move to Saudi Arabia, Sibo has indicated that he is taking his time before making a final decision.
Reports suggest the midfielder is evaluating every offer carefully, considering both the sporting challenge and long-term career prospects before choosing his next destination.
A move to England or Germany would allow Sibo to continue competing at the highest level in European football, while a switch to Saudi Arabia could offer a lucrative contract and the opportunity to play in one of the world’s fastest-growing leagues.
