East Legon, Adenta, Madina face 24-hour water cut

Several communities across Accra will experience temporary water supply disruptions on Thursday, July 9, as Ghana Water Limited (GWL) conducts a planned 24-hour maintenance exercise at the Dodowa Booster Station.

According to GWL, the maintenance work is intended to improve the efficiency, reliability and long-term performance of the water supply system.

To allow engineers to complete the exercise, the Dodowa Booster Station will be shut down for the entire maintenance period.

As a result, customers served by the station should expect low water pressure or a complete interruption in water supply until the work is completed.

The affected areas include East Legon, Adjiringanor, Ashaley Botwe, Madina, Adenta, Oyarifa, Frafraha, Agbogba, Haatso, Atomic, Ashongman, Dome, Dodowa and nearby communities connected to the booster station.

GWL has advised residents in these communities to store enough water before the maintenance begins and use it wisely throughout the interruption.

The company assured customers that its engineering team will work to complete the maintenance within the scheduled 24 hours and restore normal water supply as soon as possible.

“Management regrets the inconvenience this temporary interruption may cause and sincerely appreciates the patience, understanding, and cooperation of customers as we undertake these essential maintenance works to improve the reliability and quality of water service delivery,” the company said.
