Convener of the One Ghana Movement, Senyo Hosi, has called on the government to provide clear information on the whereabouts of former MASLOC Chief Executive Officer, Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu, amid growing public discussion about her reported return to Ghana.
His call follows reports that Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu was extradited from the United States to Ghana on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, to begin serving a 10-year prison sentence handed down in her case.
Speaking during an interview on Saturday, Senyo Hosi said state institutions must be transparent in addressing public concerns about her location and whether she is currently serving her sentence.
According to him, openness in high-profile cases involving former public officials is important for maintaining public confidence in the justice system. He noted that previous controversies have led some people to question whether accountability measures are applied fairly to all.
“They must take every step to prove to the people that accountability is being served. It doesn’t mean that she will be in jail forever.
“If people are doubting and have reason to believe that there is selective justice in this matter, the government must purge itself of that perception because the governance processes must be seen to be delivered.”
Senyo Hosi further stated that public trust in government institutions is strengthened when authorities are open and honest about cases involving allegations of financial misconduct by former public officials.
He added that any perception of secrecy or unequal treatment could undermine confidence in accountability efforts.
He therefore urged state institutions to act swiftly and provide clear information to address any doubts surrounding the matter.
