The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has declared a temporary partial closure of the road at the Terminal 2 departure area of the Kotoka International Airport due to ongoing construction activities.

In a public announcement made by management, GACL indicated that a portion of the road in front of the Terminal 2 departure hall will be closed starting Monday, May 11, 2026.

The company explained that the closure is necessary to enable safe refitting works on the frontage and façade of Terminal 2. This operation is anticipated to continue for one month.

GACL emphasised that during this time, the affected section of the road will be off-limits to both vehicles and pedestrians.

“To minimise disruption, directional signage and traffic management personnel will be deployed on-site to guide commuters and ensure smooth movement,” the notice stated.
