Stonebwoy has shared that his life could have taken a very different path if music had not worked out.
The award-winning artiste said he once imagined himself serving in the military instead of performing on stage.
During a recent interview in London, the “Jejereje” hitmaker spoke openly about his admiration for military life.
He explained that the order, discipline, and appearance of soldiers have always caught his attention.
“Personally, I would have loved to be a soldier. I just love the uniform and the discipline that comes with it. It fascinates me,” he said.
He linked this interest to his childhood experiences. Growing up, his father, who served in the military, taught him to value structure and self-control.
These lessons shaped his mindset from an early age.
Choosing music, however, did not come without challenges. He admitted that his decision created some tension at home, especially with his father, who had hoped for a different future for him.
“I had a little hurdle with my dad at first, but now it’s what it is. You can’t stop what it’s supposed to be,” he said.
Over time, things settled, and he stayed committed to his passion. Today, Stonebwoy stands as one of Ghana’s leading music figures.
He has built a strong career through hard work, consistency, and a growing international presence.
