Veteran goalkeeper Vozinha made an impressive debut for Chilean club Colo-Colo, helping the team secure a 3-0 victory while keeping a clean sheet.
The 40-year-old goalkeeper, who is regarded as the most-followed goalkeeper on Instagram after his impressive performance for Cape Verde in the just ended 2026 FIFA World Cup, marked his first appearance for the club with a solid performance between the posts.
Colo-Colo controlled the game and finished with a comfortable three-goal victory, with Vozinha playing his part by keeping the opposition from finding the back of the net.
The experienced goalkeeper also attracted attention for wearing his well-known nickname, “Vozinha”, on the back of his shirt during the match.
Colo-Colo had successfully sought permission from the Chilean league to allow the goalkeeper to use his nickname. The league had previously prevented players from displaying nicknames on their shirts instead of their official names.
The decision allowed Vozinha to make his debut while wearing the name by which he is widely known among football fans.
At 40, the goalkeeper continues to enjoy a notable career and has remained a popular figure among supporters, particularly through his strong social media following.
