The Ghana Premier League has produced an impressive start to the 2026/27 season, with 63 goals scored across the first three matchdays.
A total of 26 matches have been played so far, with one outstanding fixture between Medeama SC and Port City still to be played on September 30, 2026.
Home teams have been more productive in front of goal, accounting for 43 of the 63 goals scored. Away teams have managed 20 goals during the opening rounds.
The league has also seen an almost even split in goals between the two halves. Thirty-one goals were scored before half-time, while 32 came after the interval.
Discipline has been another notable feature of the campaign. Referees have shown 100 yellow cards and four red cards across the 26 matches played.
Dreams FC have picked up two of the four red cards issued so far, giving them the highest number of dismissals among the participating clubs.
The opening three matchdays have also provided a platform for young attackers to make their mark.
FC Samartex 1996 forward David Gyamfi Jnr, aged 18, has emerged as one of the early standout performers. The youngster has already scored three goals, including a hat-trick.
He is joined at the top of the scoring chart by 20-year-old Abdul Razak Salifu, who has also scored three times in his opening three matches.
The Ghana Premier League will now enter the next round with attention turning to the leading scorers, club performances and the battle for points across the division.
