Ridge hospital appeals for help to identify accident victim

The Greater Accra Regional Hospital, popularly known as Ridge Hospital, has appealed to the public to help locate the family of an unidentified woman who is receiving treatment after reportedly being knocked down by a vehicle and left at the scene.

According to a public appeal issued by the hospital, the woman was referred from Maamobi General Hospital with multiple injuries, including fractures to her right arm and forearm.

The hospital disclosed that no family member had come forward to identify or visit the woman since she was admitted.

Despite the lack of family support, Ridge Hospital said it had continued to provide her with medical care and other essential support, including medication and basic supplies. It also recently paid for her surgery.

The hospital is urging anyone who recognises the woman or has information that could help locate her relatives to contact its Client Relationship Unit.

Members of the public can reach the hospital on 055 172 7552, 053 784 7874 or 024 394 9636.

Ridge Hospital emphasised that family support was vital to the woman’s well-being as she recovers and encouraged the public to share the appeal to help reunite her with her relatives.
