According to a resident, some unit committee members saw three guys loitering around a motorcycle repair shop at midnight on Sunday.
The deceased who is yet to be identified was part of the three.
“All of a sudden they saw the deceased enter the premises of the shop and attempt to break a chain which was used to lock most of the motorcycles sent to the shop for repair works while the other two were spying around.”
“So the committee members who saw the suspects raised an alarm and called for reinforcement.
“Two of the suspects bolted but the deceased was cornered and later burnt to death,” the resident narrated.
Some of the residents alleged that they suspected the deceased was a member of a syndicate behind some robberies in the area.
