The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) confirmed the incident in a Facebook announcement on Monday, February 16, indicating that the fire had destroyed the two-bedroom, one-kitchen residence.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene reportedly faced challenges due to heavy rainfall and poor road conditions.
However, they successfully contained the fire, preventing it from spreading to adjacent structures.
The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.

The Service has urged the public to prioritise fire safety measures, especially by supervising vulnerable individuals, practising fundamental fire prevention techniques, and promptly reporting emergencies to the relevant authorities.
“Stay safe, supervise the vulnerable, practise fire safety, and report emergencies immediately,” the Service advised.
