The National Sports Authority (NSA) are considering closing down the Accra and Tamale Sports Stadium for immediate renovations, per reports in the local media

The state of these two stadia are very poor and totally dilapidated and will have to be rehabilitated as soon as possible to avoid any unforeseen occurrences.

The Ohene Gyan Stadium in the capital is the most used facility in the league with clubs like Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, Accra Lions and Legon Cities FC all honouring their home matches there in the ongoing season coupled with some other clubs in the lower divisions which means they will all have to adapt another venue for their subsequent home matches.
