Morale high in Black Stars camp for Madagascar task – Chris Hughton

The Black Stars are in high spirits for their penultimate 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar.

Ghana are seeking to secure qualification before their last group game against Central Africa Republic in September.

The Black Stars has been camping in Accra since last Monday and will train at least four days before departing to Madagascar on June 16 for the clash.

Addressing the press after training on Tuesday, coach Chris Hughton said, “It is always good to see the players because obviously we haven’t seen them from the last camp. Generally, the morale is very good but of course, what happens very surely after that is, the morale was good”

“I’ve always found the players responsible, dedicated to the training that I do and of course, desperate to represent the Black Stars and to win a game”

Chris Hughton’s men will continue training on Wednesday before departing on Friday for the crucial encounter which will be played in Antananarivo on Sunday, June 18.

The Black Stars currently sit top of the table with 8 points and a win away could secure them qualification to the AFCON tournament to be staged in Ivory Coast next year.
