Nana Boadi Amponim Abodade III, the Krontihene of Akyem Asoum, has expressed strong support and gratitude for President-elect John Mahama, likening him to the Good Samaritan from the Bible who has come to save Ghana from its current woes.
Nana Abodade III criticised the outgoing administration, accusing it of widespread corruption and mismanagement that has left the country in a dire state.
“We thank God that the good Lord is about to give the mantle to President Mahama,” he said.
“As it is in Luke 10:29, Ghana has been stripped naked and is bleeding. The robbers have stolen all the goodies.”
He described Mahama’s return as a divine intervention, saying, “A Good Samaritan has come to rescue Ghana, nurse her back to health, and recover the loot stolen by the robbers.”
Nana Abodade III’s remarks reflect growing optimism among Mahama’s supporters, who see his leadership as a beacon of hope for a nation eager to recover from years of economic hardship and corruption.
He made these comments in an interview with GHOne in Accra.
