The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, has revealed that he would have gladly accepted a deputy ministerial position if President John Mahama had offered it to him.
Speaking in an interview, Mr. Adongo admitted that he had expected a ministerial appointment in the new government.
“I was really expecting to be made minister,” he stated. “However, the president’s advisors believed I was above the role of deputy minister. But if President Mahama had offered it to me, I would have accepted.”
His remarks highlight his willingness to serve in any capacity under Mahama’s administration, despite his high expectations.
Adongo’s statement has ignited discussions about the selection process for government appointments and the influence of presidential advisors in determining key leadership roles.
Despite not receiving an appointment, the Bolgatanga Central MP reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Mahama’s administration, expressing his readiness to contribute to national development and help fulfill the government’s policy objectives for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
