Hearts of Oak’s 4-0 win over Immigration FC down to sheer determination – Coach Ouattara
Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has attributed his team’s resounding 4-0 victory over Immigration FC in the MTN FA Cup to the players’ unwavering determination and hard work.
The Phobians’ brilliance at the University of Ghana sports stadium ensured their progression to the Round of 32 of the MTN FA Cup.
Coach Ouattara praised his team’s resilience, particularly in the face of adversity, with seven players currently sidelined due to injuries.
“We have a big problem because seven of our players are injured,” he revealed. “But we didn’t let that hold us back. We made some strategic changes during the game, and it paid off.”
Ouattara acknowledged that the first half was challenging, but his team’s persistence and tactical adjustments ultimately led to their convincing win.
“There is no secret in beating Immigration. It is hard work. We always try to work hard,” he emphasized.
Last season’s early exit from the competition motivated the team to take the game seriously and come out on top.
“Last year, we were out at this round, so we did take the game seriously,” Ouattara noted.
The win marks a significant step forward for Hearts of Oak as they gear up for their highly-anticipated clash with Asante Kotoko on December 15 in the Ghana Premier League.
