Gospel musician and preacher, Sonnie Badu, has extended his best wishes to the Black Stars following the release of the national team’s squad by head coach Carlos Queiroz.
In a Facebook post shared on Monday, June 1, Sonnie Badu expressed his support for the players, urging them to remain focused and give their all for the nation.
“Dear Black Stars, I wish you all the best as you embark on this incredible opportunity to prove your worth. Remember, football is Ghana’s pride, and the world is watching. Please, don’t let us down. May God be with you all,” the musician wrote.
The award-winning gospel minister encouraged Ghanaians to rally behind the team as they prepare for the global football showpiece, emphasising the importance of unity and national support.
His message comes shortly after Carlos Queiroz unveiled the official list of players expected to represent Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Sonnie Badu, who has consistently shown interest in national issues and sports, noted that the players have the potential to make the country proud and called on them to approach the tournament with determination, discipline, and confidence.
