An Accra High Court has set May 2 to deliver judgment in the contempt case against North Tongo MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

The contempt case filed by the Secretary to the Board of the National Cathedral Secretariat, Rev Kusi Boateng is in connection with the national cathedral project.

Rev Kusi Boateng was able to secure a court order barring Mr Ablakwa from making further revelations or allegations against his person about the ongoing project.

But despite the court order Rev Boateng stated that Mr Ablakwa went on to release additional information, thus the contempt case.

In a Facebook post, Mr Ablakwa revealed that judgment will finally be given in the matter on May 2.

He further indicated that the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has confirmed that it is still investigating the conflict of interest petition filed against Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng.

“CHRAJ subsequently requested additional documentation, which I promptly and dutifully submitted on the 9th of March 2023”.

He also suggested that there are fresh allegations of scandals surrounding the National Cathedral project, with new revelations expected to be made public in the coming days.

The North Tongu MP reaffirmed his commitment to seeing the matter through to its conclusion, declaring that “the son of man shall not be silenced!”
