The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has reaffirmed his confidence in the incorruptible nature of the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
While speaking at the NPP manifesto launch at Takoradi on Sunday, August 18, 2024, Dr Opoku Prempeh said Dr Bawumia’s integrity has remained untainted throughout the years he has worked with him, a subtle jab to former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He added that the Vice President has a track record of keeping his promise and is ever ready to continue his good work as president if elected on December 7.
He, therefore, asked Ghanaians to trust and vote for Dr Bawumia as the best candidate to lead the nation to prosperity.
“I know and have worked with Dr Bawumia more than others and he is not corrupt. He has never been corrupt and he has never been investigated for corruption,” he said.
He further pledged his unwavering commitment to serve him loyally through thick and thin to deliver a better Ghana.

Dr Opoku Prempeh, also known as Napo, praised President Akufo-Addo for the work he has done in the development of the nation.
He commended the president for his dedication to making the right decisions for the country in the field of education, particularly the introduction of free SHS and free TVET.
“When President Akufo-Addo took office in 2017, 40,000 Ghanaian students who had passed the WASSCE exams could not access their results because they couldn’t afford the examination fees. Thousands more were unable to attend Senior High School due to financial constraints. But today, every child who enters secondary school leaves with their best possible results,” he noted.
