Speaking at the event, flagbearer of the APC Dr. Ayariga expressed confidence that this partnership will lead the party to victory.
Rev. Dr. Mensah, who serves as the Head Pastor and Presiding Bishop of Christ White House Chapel in Ghana, was described by many as a man of integrity.
Dr Ayariga emphasised that his religious portfolio shows a commitment to a corruption-free administration.
The APC flagbearer believes Rev. Mensah is best suited to help him turn the country’s economic fortunes around if given the nod.
“His philosophy is centred around making a positive impact, driving economic growth, and promoting social justice. With his diverse experience and expertise, he is a respected voice in Ghana’s economy, and leadership, landscape,” the flagbearer touted.
The running mate accepted the nomination and was sworn in immediately as the APC’s vice presidential candidate.
Rev. Dr. Mensah, before joining the APC, announced his intention to contest the Presidential Election as an independent candidate.
According to him, Ghana needs an all-inclusive government, drawing the enviable human resources within industry and academia, sectors of the economy and across the political divide to create a prosperous nation.
“Ghana is currently divided along political blocs. We need to build a united nation. This calls for an independent leader who will bring together well-meaning Ghanaians across the political and social divide to build a united Ghana,” he said.
