The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has cautioned residents in parts of the country to expect thunderstorms and rainfall from the late afternoon into the evening today, Monday, September 28, 2026.
GMet’s afternoon forecast indicates that much of the country will remain cloudy, with light to moderate rainfall expected across some coastal and middle parts.
Parts of the transition areas may also experience occasional thunderstorms, while the northern sector is expected to see some sunshine before thunderstorms and rainfall develop from the late afternoon into the evening.
The areas likely to be affected include Yendi, Tamale, Bole, Damongo, Bolgatanga, Nalerigu, Wa and Jirapa.
Other locations forecast to experience thunderstorms or rainfall are Sunyani, Techiman, Sampa, Kete Krachi and Atebubu.
GMet has also cautioned that sea conditions remain rough and advised the public to take the necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
