One person was found trapped underneath the DAF truck and was rescued before being transported to the Suhum Government Hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the DAF truck suffered a brake failure, causing the driver to lose control and crash into the Sprinter bus.

The impact pushed the bus into a tricycle that was parked at the scene, destroying it. The DAF truck and Sprinter bus also sustained various degrees of damage.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has urged motorists to service their vehicles regularly, particularly critical components such as braking systems.
