The Accra Circuit Court 8 has remanded two persons for allegedly robbing a businessman of his Apple wristwatch, gold chain, two iPhones, Mercedes-Benz car keys, and cash.

A third accused person has been asked to remain on bail as earlier granted by the court.
Anthony Boateng, alias “Aisha Kojo,” 24, a trader, and Francis Amoh, alias “Agogo,” 23, unemployed, are alleged to have robbed the victim.

Boateng and Amoh have denied conspiring to unlawfully enter Mohammed Razak’s house, cause damage to his electric fence and security door, and rob him of his belongings and cash.

Musah Ibrahim, alias “Coded,” 30, a businessman and the third accused person, is on bail. He is accused of dishonestly buying some of the stolen items, but has denied it.

Felix Addo, alias Adjei, their alleged accomplice, has escaped and is being sought by the Police to answer why he bought some of the stolen items.

The accused persons’ applications for bail were refused, and they were ordered to return to court on June 10, 2026.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Issah Achiburi, giving the facts, said Razak, the complainant, was a businessman and resident of Franco Estate, Kwabenya, Accra.

He said Boateng is a trader from Koforidua, Amoh is unemployed from Mankessim, Ibrahim is a businessman and a resident of Agbogbloshie, while Addo is currently at large.

ASP Achiburi told the court that the first two accused persons belonged to a notorious robbery gang at Agbogbloshie, Accra, and had been on the police’s wanted list for some time.

He said on January 18, 2026, Boateng and Amoh hatched a plan to go on a robbery expedition.
On the same day, at about 0300 hours, they identified their victim’s house at Franco Estate, Kwabenya.

He said Boateng and Amoh, armed with a pistol, machete, cutter, and torchlight, damaged the complainant’s electric fence wire and gained access to his rooms.

Boateng kept the complainant hostage at gunpoint in one of the rooms while Amoh ransacked the entire house.
In the process, they took away the complainant’s gold jewellery valued at GH¢11,000, an Apple watch valued at GH¢7,000, two iPhone 17 Pro Max phones valued at GH¢18,500 and GH¢7,500 respectively, the court heard.

Prosecution said the two also took a Mercedes-Benz C300 key valued at GH¢40,000, as well as cash of USD 700 and GH¢14,000.

Boateng was said to have pointed the pistol at the complainant’s head and ordered him to remove the iCloud from the iPhone before they took it away.

After the robbery, Boateng and Amoh sold some of the items to Ibrahim and Addo, the court heard.

ASP Achiburi said intelligence-led investigations led to the arrest of Boateng and Amoh at Agbogbloshie, where a spot search retrieved one iPhone Pro Max, a cutlass, a pair of scissors, some chains, and a cutter.

Further investigations revealed that one iPhone Pro Max and the Apple wristwatch were sold to Ibrahim, while the gold jewellery was sold to Addo, who is at large, ASP Achiburi said.
