Real Madrid open probe after Valverde-Tchouaméni training clash

Tension has reportedly erupted inside the Real Madrid dressing room after midfielders, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde were involved in a serious altercation during training.

According to reports, the incident began at the start of Thursday’s training session when Valverde allegedly refused to shake hands with Tchouaméni. What started as a tense exchange quickly escalated into a physical confrontation between the two midfielders.

Several reports in Spain claim the clash became so serious that Valverde suffered a heavy blow during the incident and later required hospital treatment after reportedly being knocked unconscious. It is further said that the Uruguayan midfielder sustained a head injury during the altercation.

The latest confrontation reportedly follows another heated argument between the pair during training earlier this week. Emotions inside the Real Madrid camp have been running high amid a disappointing season that has left the club under pressure domestically and in Europe.

There are additional claims that members of the coaching staff and several teammates had to intervene to separate the two players. An emergency meeting was also allegedly held at the club’s Valdebebas training centre as officials attempted to calm tensions inside the dressing room.

Club president Florentino Pérez has spoken directly with both players following the incident and is expected to decide on possible disciplinary measures. Real Madrid is also said to have opened an internal investigation into the matter.
