The Ghana Report Jobs & Entrepreneurship Fair: Submit novel ideas for funding—I-ZAR GCEO
The Chief Executive of The Ghana Report, Rashida Saani, has called on tertiary institutions and individuals to pitch novel ideas and solutions to access funding at the maiden edition of The Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship Fair.
The business mogul and Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of I-ZAR believes implementing home-generated innovations could spur development in Ghana.
The Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship Fair, scheduled for Thursday, September 19, 2024, to Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre and the Independence Square, will be the platform to screen submitted projects.
The fair, which aims to tackle unemployment, will provide business incubation platforms and financial support under a 3-tier funding scheme for research projects with a promising outcome.
At the official launch of the Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship Fair held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, Ms. Saani, who chaired the event, encouraged university rectors, vice-chancellors, administrators, and graduates of various tertiary institutions to get on board to implement novel solutions that will take Ghana to the next level.
“There are quite a number of research done by most university graduates that are gathering dust. We encourage all university graduates or universities to get in touch with us with viable ideas that have gathered dust over the years.
“We are going to be creating a panel that will judge these ideas and ensure that viable ideas are funded. For graduates who have embarked on various research, this is going to be the place to be,” she underscored.

Ms. Saani said participants would be judged purely on their talents, innovations, and value offered, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
She highlighted that the expo will offer thousands of sustainable jobs to the youth while harnessing potential through rapid skill acquisition training.
“The Ghana Report Jobs & Entrepreneurship Fair is not just about finding jobs; it is about building a stronger, more resilient economy for Ghana. It is about giving our youth and our workforce the opportunity to shine and thrive,” Ms. Saani said.
Organised by The Ghana Report, a subsidiary of I-ZAR Group and winner of the Best News Portal of the Year and the Best Portal in Corporate Social Responsibilities at the 25th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards, The Ghana Report Jobs & Entrepreneurship Fair is a comprehensive platform designed to connect job seekers with employers and empower aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge, and networks needed to succeed.
Recruitments will be undertaken on the spot with government representatives, telecommunication companies, security agencies, business owners, and top employment agencies, among others, confirming participation.
The Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship Fair will be taking place in partnership with several institutions, including the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
The fair will culminate in an exciting music concert at the Independence Square, bringing entertainment and networking opportunities to all attendees.
Additionally, ‘Alhaji’s Wife Waakye’, Ashtown Chek Chek, and other partners from the hospitality sector will provide free food and refreshments for job seekers.
