Yvonne Nelson readies for tomorrow’s ‘dumsor’ protest despite failing health
All is set for the much-anticipated #DumsorMustStop protest, spearheaded by actress Yvonne Nelson, which is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, June 8, 2024.
Yvonne Nelson, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), indicated that despite her health concerns, which haven’t been very positive, she is ready for tomorrow’s protest.
“My Health hasn’t been 100%,but i will still walk from legon down to tetteh quarshie in protest of a better GH for my kids and their kids.Even if it’s just me,5 of us,20 or a 1000.I will still walk.We don’t deserve bad governance coupled with lies and arrogance”.

The new time for the vigil will be from 2:00 pm-10:00 pm as opposed to the initial 8:00 am to 12:00 am.
Yvonne Nelson had previously invited Ghanaians to join her in a massive campaign against recent erratic power cuts in a tweet.
This call for action follows similar protests organized by Yvonne and several celebrities in 2015 to express displeasure over consistent power outages.
Yvonne Nelson hopes for a similar turnout this time and seeks the support of the general public for the imminent protest against ‘dumsor’.
