Black Starlets winger Abdul Latif Wunzalgu has vowed to deliver his best performance yet when Ghana face Ivory Coast in the semi-finals of the 2026 WAFU Zone B U17 Championship on Tuesday.
The promising playmaker expressed confidence ahead of the crucial encounter, as the Black Starlets seek to secure qualification for the 2027 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
“Tomorrow’s game will be my finest,” Abdul Latif said at the pre-match press conference, signalling his readiness to play a decisive role in Ghana’s campaign.
The winger has already impressed at the tournament, winning the Player of the Match award after Ghana’s 1-0 victory over Togo in their opening Group A fixture.
His performances have established him as one of the players to watch as Ghana pursue a place in the final.
The Black Starlets enter the semi-final unbeaten after topping Group A with seven points from three matches.
Today’s clash will take place at the 4th August Stadium in Ouagadougou, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT.
Victory over the Ivorians would send Ghana into the final and guarantee their qualification for the 2027 U17 AFCON.
