We are disappointed – Aggrieved customers to Menzgold CEO
Aggrieved customers of Menzgold dealership company have expressed their disappointment at the response from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nana Appiah Mensah with regards to their locked-up funds.
According to them, the press briefing by the embattled CEO on Monday failed to address the main issue of when and how they will be receiving their investments.
The spokesperson of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold, Francis Owusu in an interview said customers of the gold dealership company are extremely disappointed.
“Honestly, we are very disappointed with the outcome of the meeting. We had high hopes that he was going to tell us when we are going to receive our investments but nothing, so is he trying to tell us that until the government is able to secure his $39 million for the Dubai company, we won’t get our monies back,” he queried.
One applicant lamented bitterly about how her expectations were dashed after the nearly 3-hour media briefing.
She noted “I think we have been very flexible with him. I remember he asked for sometime off to relax based on his Doctor’s advice and we were patient enough to wait for him but see the outcome, we are tired.
“We simply want to know when and how he was going to pay us but he just came up with numerous demands from government. My sister, I have a lot of bills to settle and was hoping the press conference will address the issue”.
The press conference ended with the CEO of Menzgold asking government to help him retrieve $39 million from the Dubai firm as well as a call to unfreeze his personal and company accounts which have been held by investigators.
According to him, this will enable him to utilize the resources available to resolve all liabilities.
The aggrieved customers are calling on the government to accede to Nana Appiah Mensah’s demands.
