As Ghana approaches the 2024 elections, Vice President and NPP Presidential Candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged participants at the 4th National Muslim Conference of Ghana (NMCG) to commit to peace and stability.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized the government’s efforts to enhance security and encouraged Ghanaians to do the same.

He shared insights from the event on Facebook, noting his participation in the programme together with the National Chief Imam, fellow Muslims, and distinguished guests, including the Speaker of Parliament.

The NMCG, initiated by the Muslim Caucus in Parliament, unites Muslims from various sects and stakeholders to discuss development and national issues.

This year’s theme focuses on the role of Muslims in bridging gaps in healthcare delivery.

Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed the government’s dedication to improving healthcare through significant initiatives, such as reviving the National Health Insurance Scheme, providing ambulances to all constituencies, establishing an e-pharmacy and Zipline Medical Drone Delivery Service, and constructing Agenda 111 health facilities in districts lacking hospitals.

He concluded by encouraging all participants to maintain the peace, unity, and diversity of Ghana, particularly as the 2024 elections approach.
