Three remanded over chieftaincy dispute in Sampa
The Sunyani District Court B has remanded three men into police custody in connection with a chieftaincy dispute at Sampa in the Jaman North Municipality of the Bono Region.
The suspects are Alhassan Issah, alias Crack (25); Luis Kwame Antwi, alias Erikay (24); and Yussif Ahmed, alias Plus 2 were arrested on November 4 at different locations in Sampa during an intelligence-led operation by the Bono Regional Police Command.
A police statement signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relations Officer of the Command, said several other accomplices remain at large.
The three appeared before the Sunyani District Court B on Wednesday, November 5, where they were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, causing harm, causing damage, assault, and stealing.
The presiding judge, Mr. Eric Danning, Esq., ordered that they be remanded into police custody and return to court on November 10.
