Students Loan Trust Fund sets March 20 deadline for “No Fees Stress” data upload

By

The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has set a final deadline of March 20, 2026, for public tertiary institutions to upload the admission data of first-year students onto the No Fees Stress Portal under the Government’s No Academic Fees Policy for the 2025/2026 academic year.

In a statement released on March 10, the Fund said this is the last opportunity for schools to submit the necessary data to ensure their students can benefit from government support towards tuition and other academic fees.

“All public tertiary institutions must ensure that the admission lists of eligible first-year students are uploaded onto the portal by March 20, 2026. Any delay could result in students missing out on the fee support programme,” the SLTF statement said.

The Fund also reminded students that they must confirm and validate their admission details on the portal by April 30, 2026, to qualify for the programme. Failure to do so may disqualify them from receiving the government’s support.

According to the SLTF, over 160,000 students’ data has already been received, with more than 134,000 students having validated their information on the system.

“We urge both schools and students to strictly adhere to the deadlines to ensure smooth processing and timely disbursement of fees,” the statement added.

The SLTF’s deadline is part of ongoing efforts to streamline the disbursement process for the “No Fees Stress” initiative, which aims to relieve financial burdens for first-year students and make higher education more accessible.

Authorities are encouraging all institutions to double-check their submissions and ensure that student details are accurate before the deadline, to avoid any disruption in fee support.
