Ghana’s Black Princesses have named their final 21-member squad for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, as Head Coach Charles Sampson prepares his team for another appearance on the global stage.
The squad features a mix of experienced players and emerging talents, with three players set to make their second appearance at the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Defender Alexandra Tay, forward Jennifer Dawah and goalkeeper Najat Abdul Salam have been included in the final squad after previously representing Ghana at the tournament.
Coach Sampson has selected three goalkeepers for the competition, with Najat Abdul Salam joined by Precious Akanguwie and Ruth Agudu Sebbie.
The defensive unit includes Precious Asante, Ruby Osei, Juliana Gyekyewaa and Salma Naazo. Police Ladies defender Margaret Agyapomaa and Ampem Darkoa Ladies player Diana Amoako have also earned places in the squad.
In midfield, Ghana will rely on Esther Asamoah Yiadom, Latifa Musah, Latifa Abesik, Sarah Nyarko and Ruth Amponsah.
The attacking options include Ivy Osei Owusu, Jackline Ntoso, Priscilla Mensah and Angelema Akanyirige. Guangdong Women’s forward Agnes Yeboah completes the list of forwards selected for the tournament.
The Black Princesses will begin their campaign on September 6, 2026, when they face Ecuador in their opening Group fixture.
They will then take on the Republic before ending their group-stage campaign against France. The three matches will provide Ghana with a strong test as the team seeks to progress to the knockout stage.
