Notorious Ashaiman robber arrested by police 

A notorious armed robber from Ashaiman has been arrested during a collaborative police operation.

A police operation, driven by intelligence, has led to the arrest of the well-known 25-year-old armed robbery suspect, Seth Tetteh, who is also recognised by the alias ‘Wonder’.

Tetteh, who is suspected to be the leader of a robbery syndicate that operates throughout Ashaiman and its surrounding areas, was taken into custody on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

The suspect was captured around 3:00 p.m. in the vicinity of the Ashaiman China Mall.

This operation was a coordinated initiative involving the Atadeka Police Patrol Team and the Ashaiman Police Intelligence Directorate.

Wonder is recognized as a highly active criminal, involved in various violent crimes, including residential, street, and industrial robberies.

His arrest is anticipated to significantly hinder criminal activities that target both businesses and residents within the municipality.

Police have confirmed that Wonder was the mastermind behind a recent armed robbery that took place at a concrete yard factory.

During this incident, he led a gang of two on a motorbike, threatening victims with a firearm and stealing an undisclosed amount of money.

Tetteh’s arrest comes after the earlier capture of his two accomplices, who are already facing legal proceedings.

Police Intelligence facilitated the apprehension of his two accomplices, who were recognized by the victims.

They are currently in custody, awaiting trial at the Ashaiman Circuit Court.

In light of the gang leader’s arrest, the Tema Police Command has issued a strong warning to the public regarding the handling of stolen property.

The statement specifically warned individuals who buy stolen electronic devices, such as mobile phones, which are often sold at low prices by criminal groups.

“Police is using this medium to caution receivers of stolen phones, as their arrest has legal consequences for dishonestly receiving.”

The Police further extended their gratitude to the top hierarchy for supporting their operations.
