No human casualties were recorded as a result of the fire outbreak in the Zylophone Media Complex, Management of the company has said.
“Thankfully, the incident which affected one of our two buildings, occurred in the night after most of our staff members, clients and visitors had departed the premises,” it explained.
” The swift response of the Ghana National Fire Service, some of our staff, friends and well-wishers, who all responded to the incident in diverse ways, contributed to the swift containment and extinguishing of the fire, ” the company said in a statement.
The fire incident occurred at about 9 pm on Monday at the Zylofon Media Complex used for television, radio and online operations.
Earlier reports suggested there had been some casualties due to the fire outbreak.
But management of Zylofon Media in clarifying the viral claims stressed that “No human fatalities or casualties were recorded.”
The statement further said management is working with relevant authorities to ascertain the cause of the fire outbreak.
It also noted that relevant experts are working to ensure the structural integrity of the affected building.
They are therefore assuring the general public that it would resume full operations soon.
