The Nkwanta South Police Command in the Oti Region has arrested a 37-year-old fetish priest, Osman Imoro, over the alleged murder of 35-year-old contractor Daniel Bijadom.
Bijadom was reportedly reported missing from his residence on October 16, 2023.
Investigations later led police to parts of his remains, which were discovered buried in a septic pit in the Tuobodom suburb of Nkwanta township.
Imoro was arrested on October 15, 2026, with support from community surveillance members, who subsequently handed him over to the police.
He remains in police custody as the Nkwanta South Police continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding Bajodan’s disappearance and alleged death.
Police are expected to conduct further inquiries before pursuing the appropriate legal action.
