Hearts of Oak secured their second consecutive Ghana Premier League victory with a narrow 1-0 win over Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku Complex in Tema New Town.
Kwesi Asmah scored the decisive goal in the 86th minute to hand the Phobians all three points in a closely contested encounter.
Asmah reacted quickest to a loose clearance inside the penalty area before firing home with his left foot, extending Hearts’ winning run following their victory over Port City.
The result provides a boost for the Accra-based side as they seek greater consistency in the league.
Meanwhile, Berekum Chelsea recorded their first away win of the season after defeating Heart of Lions 2-0 at the Kpando Stadium.
Dramani Awuah gave Chelsea the lead in the 39th minute before Paul Attah Agyei doubled their advantage in the 69th minute.
The visitors proved clinical in front of goal despite Heart of Lions enjoying much of the possession.
The defeat leaves Heart of Lions with consecutive losses, while Chelsea moves up to seventh on the league table.
