Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green says taking himself out of the game and heading to the locker room was the best thing to do in the middle of a heated moment.
Green and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr got into a heated argument during a timeout in the third quarter of Golden State’s 120-97 win over Orlando Magic.
The argument carried on for a while before Green went to the locker room and stayed there, he returned to the bench in the fourth quarter but didn’t feature for the rest of the game.
The veteran player who plays as a center, didn’t play the final 20 minutes of the game and according to Green, staying away from the heated situation was the best thing to do.

“Tempers spilled over, and I thought it was best that I get out of there. I don’t think it was a situation where it was going to get better. It was best to remove myself” Green said according to ESPN.
