NADMO staff found dead in stream at Kwabre East

The body of a staff member of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has been recovered from a stream located between Abira and Krobo in the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly.

The lifeless body was retrieved from the stream on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

The deceased, 60-year-old Thomas Obeng, who was reportedly recovering from an illness he had recently suffered, left Abira to visit his wife, who lives in the nearby community of Krobo.

After the visit, although he informed his wife that he was returning to Abira, his whereabouts remained unknown until his lifeless body was discovered in the stream.

The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear.

Police have since conveyed the body to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for further examination.

Isaac Owusu Bempah, the Assembly Member for the Abira Electoral Area, confirmed this unfortunate incident.
