Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale is pushing back strongly against swirling allegations linking him to fraudulent activity.

This comes in the wake of the FBI’s arrest of several individuals, including Kofi Boat, a Ghanaian businessman alleged to be part of a global scam network.

Boat is said to be a known associate of Shatta Wale, which has led to speculation on social media about the musician’s possible involvement.

In a video shared on X, Shatta Wale made it clear that he has nothing to hide. Speaking directly to his critics, he said he has always earned his money through music, not crime.

The artist, known for his flashy lifestyle and outspoken personality, believes the rumours are a result of jealousy and constant comparisons with other musicians who may not have reached his level of success.

“You people are watching my life, and anytime there is an issue in Ghana, you like to drag me into it,” he said in the video. “They saw my Rolls-Royce and knew how I acquired the funds to purchase it. It’s music money. It’s not fraud; it’s hard work and dedication.”

He also pointed out that international investigators do thorough checks before linking anyone to criminal activity, adding that if he had anything to hide, it would have already come to light.

Shatta Wale has made it clear he intends to continue focusing on his music career, undistracted by the noise around him.
