One person has reportedly died following a clash between two communities over a farmland dispute at Kumdi in the Kpandai District of the Northern Region.
The incident took place on Thursday, October 22, with reports suggesting that gunfire was exchanged during the confrontation.
The dispute reportedly involves farmland used for agricultural activities, and the matter is said to have been taken to court before the latest outbreak of violence.
A resident who spoke to the media confirmed that the land dispute had previously been brought before the court.
“It is because of land for farming. The issue was even sent to court,” the resident said.
Security personnel have since been deployed to the area to restore calm and prevent further violence.
However, details surrounding the reported death, including the identity of the deceased and those involved in the clash, remain unclear.
