Ethel Tottimeh, a 13-year-old schoolgirl who went missing in Kasoa in the Central Region has been found safe in Hohoe in the Volta Region.

Ethel who speaks Ewe, Twi, and English, went missing after she left home for extra classes on August 21, 2024.

A thorough search by the family and school authorities to find her whereabouts proved futile for days.

However, the widespread sharing of her picture on social media as a missing person brought a breakthrough as a mobile money vendor in Hohoe recognized the young girl after she used his phone to make a call.

The momo vendor then alerted Ethel’s family, providing them with the number the girl had called and the exact location where he had found the girl.

The family then proceeded to Hohoe to meet their daughter and the good Samaritan.

Ethel has since been reunited with her family.

It is still unclear how the little girl moved from Kasoa to Hohoe in these few days.

Meanwhile, the family has expressed gratitude to everyone who shared the post and helped in the search for their daughter.

This case comes after Constance Kisbour Mensah, a 15-year-old girl who was reported missing on July 28, 2024, was also found alive and in good health.

Her disappearance sparked concern after she went missing following a punishment.

According to her mother, Esther Asibi, Constance was punished for returning home late after going out to trim her hair on July 28.

The following morning when the family went to prompt her to prepare for school, they discovered that she was not in her room.

Her window was open, and her school bag and shoes were missing.

Subsequently, the incident was reported to the Central East Police Command.

On August 9, 2024, Constance was found near the Kasoa station with a woman who had been accommodating her.
