Interior Ministry extends aptitude test dates for 2025/26 security recruitment applicants

The Ministry of the Interior has extended the aptitude test deadline for Category C (WASSCE) applicants under the 2025/2026 Centralised Services E-Recruitment Portal.

The extension follows technical challenges some applicants experienced while trying to complete and submit their tests online.

In a notice issued on Saturday, February 22, the Ministry said the move is to ensure fairness and give all affected candidates equal opportunity to take part in the recruitment process.

Under the new arrangement, Category C applicants now have until February 28, 2026, to complete the aptitude test.

A mop-up exercise will run from February 21 to February 28, 2026, according to the following schedule:

February 21–23: Ghana Immigration Service (GIS)

February 24–25: Ghana Police Service

February 26–28: Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and Ghana Prisons Service

Additionally, a general mop-up exercise for all categories (A to C) will be held from March 1 to March 2, 2026. Results are expected to be released on March 4, 2026.

Affected applicants will receive SMS notifications with instructions to log into the portal and retake the test within the new dates.

However, candidates who have already successfully completed the test will not be allowed to retake it and must wait for the official release of results.

To further address concerns, the Ministry will host a live social media session on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 8:30 p.m., led by a technical facilitator to answer questions and resolve issues related to the test and recruitment process.

The Ministry has urged all applicants to follow the revised schedule and rely only on official communications to avoid confusion and misinformation.
