Inflation drops to 6.3% in November 2025 — GSS
Ghana’s inflation rate has continued its steady decline, falling to 6.3% in November 2025, according to the latest Consumer Price Index report from the Ghana Statistical Service.
This marks the eleventh consecutive month that inflation has slowed, offering a sense of relief to households and businesses that have struggled with high prices in recent years.
Presenting the data in Accra, Government Statistician Dr Alhassan Iddrisu explained that the decline was influenced by lower inflation in both food and non-food categories.
Although prices still rose slightly by 0.9% between October and November, the overall trend shows a more stable economic environment taking shape.
Food inflation recorded one of the sharpest drops, falling to 6.6% from 9.5 % in October. Non-food inflation also eased to 6.1 % from 6.9 %, while the services sector saw a reduction to 3.8 %.
The regional picture varied, with the North East Region recording the highest rate at 12.3 % while the Savannah Region posted a near-zero rate.
Inflation for locally produced items also fell to 6.8 %, offering promise for local manufacturers and farmers. Goods inflation slowed to 7.3 % from the previous 9.3 %.
These shifts have sparked conversations about how businesses can take advantage of the improving climate.
Dr Iddrisu encouraged firms to respond responsibly. “This is a window of opportunity for businesses to invest in better processes and offer fairer prices to consumers,” he said.
With inflation trending downward, analysts believe the coming months may offer even more stability as long as productivity and supply chains continue to improve.
