He is expected to reappear before the court on October 28, 2026.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Frank Acheampong, the prosecutor, told the court, presided over by Robert Addo, that the complainant in the case was the school’s headmaster.

The accused, an illegal miner and resident of Asuowin in the Amansie West District, was arrested following a report of a break-in at the school.

According to the prosecution, the incident was discovered on October 12, 2026, at about 7:30 a.m., when the headmaster arrived at the school and found that the metal burglar-proof door and lock to his office, valued at GH₵9,500, had been damaged.

A further inspection revealed that several items belonging to the school had been stolen.
