Four dead in Kasoa building collapse

A devastating incident has occurred at Kasoa New Market in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region, resulting in the loss of four lives.

A carpenter and three others met their untimely demise when the storey building they were working on collapsed, trapping them underneath the rubble.

According to eyewitness Nana Akwesi, the workers were on the second floor when the disaster struck.

“The carpenter died on the spot, while the other three died while being transported to the hospital,” he revealed.

The Assemblyman for the Kpomotey area, Mustapha Mohammed, expressed his shock and grief at the incident.

“I am still trying to come to terms with what happened. It’s a tragic loss of life, and my heart goes out to the families of the deceased,” he said.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community.

An investigation into the cause of the collapse is currently underway.
