Former Savannah Regional Minister and ex-Member of Parliament for Salaga South, Salifu Adam Braimah, has passed away following a brief illness.
He reportedly died at the University of Ghana Hospital.
A short announcement shared by his family on Sunday, April 11, 2026, referred to him as a brother and uncle affectionately known as “Uncle Sally,” and indicated that plans are in progress to transport his remains to Salaga for burial.
“With a heavy heart, I announce the demise of our brother, Uncle Sally and former minister of Savannah Region. The sad event occurred at the University of Ghana Hospital after a short illness. Arrangements are underway to convey the corpse to Salaga for burial. May Allah admit him into Jannatul Firdaus,” the notice said.
Salifu Adam Braimah was a Ghanaian politician and served in the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic, representing the Salaga South Constituency in the Northern Region as a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Meanwhile, burial arrangements are expected to be disclosed by the family in the forthcoming days.
