Five police officers interdicted over misconduct on social media

The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five officers due to misconduct related to the unauthorised use of police uniforms on social media.

The officers involved are No. 45545 G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale, No. 50300 G/Cpl. Isaac Pipere, No. 51816 G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo, No. 56803 G/Cpl. Charles Oduro, and No. 14494 PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor.

A press release from the Public Affairs Directorate at the Police Headquarters in Accra, dated December 16, 2025, indicated that the suspension was a result of findings regarding various violations associated with the officers’ use of official police uniforms online.

The statement further noted that the officers in question have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau for additional investigations and the implementation of suitable disciplinary actions.

The Police Service reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining professional standards and cautioned its personnel against behaviours that could compromise the reputation and integrity of the service, especially on social media platforms.
